Google Adwords Campaign Optimizer

Google Adwords Campaign Optimizer
It works to improve your keywords traffic and ads so that your campaign is maximized to reach it’s full potential.

One does need to be careful as Google loves to take advertisers out of exact or specific match and push them to the money grab of broad match. Careful here as you will end up making a car payment for one of Googles executives this month if you do not pay attention to your account.

It is in Googles best interest to do this as a free service as by doing so they stand to increase your ad spend and their earning revenues. Since the task is automated by computing power Google has no real expense in this and therefore is earning in excess of 90% or more profit margin on this tool.

While I will concead there is some expense in the development of the tool, however the long term ROI that Google gains in return, will far exceed the minimal r & d dollars spent in the development.

Pay Per Action Ads From Google

Pay Per Action Ads From Google

I have learned that Google is expanding the beta implementation of Pay Per Action ads. advertisers who previously enabled conversion tracking, and received more than 500 conversions from their CPC- and CPM-based campaigns in the past month, will be automatically added to the beta on a rolling basis.

Google is giving advertisers the ability to create Pay Per Action campaigns and set the desired conversion action from within their Google AdWords accounts.

Many feel that the PPA model is very good for online retailers and other e-commerce sites but I have several partners and clients in the lead generation side of online marketing and I know the PPA model will be much better for their budget and likely to return far better ROI.

I really like this idea and look forward to it’s implementation and reporting back here how things progress.

Google SEO Title Tag Hack!!

Bloged in Search Optimization, Google by semadvance Thursday June 14, 2007

Yesterday I went and checked and my next evil ploy has been hatched live online.

This little foray and my earlier post on Adwords Title Hack are inspired by a gentleman known as BlueHatSEO and a exploit he undertook here. Improving organic results.

I will warn others that the owner of the site loves to push edges more than I.

As mentioned in my earlier post I am running an experiment on Google Adwords
using non-Englsih characters in Ad titles and I wanted to use this same sort of
idea to help improve my SERP results for a site that I have given to my daughters.

Now as for my evilness it probably does not qualify as evil but I do push edges,
I question that status quo and at times can have a sharp tongue for really stupid
thoughts others concoct.

Anyhow for over a year I have a website which was ranked #1 on Google for the
term ‘richest women’. It’s a very little static site that has returned over 700%
ROI on my original investment over the two years or so I have owned it.

I gave it to my daughters last year to try to get them interested in the business
side of the internet but they seem more intent on spending money, than earning
it…go figure.

One day recently after Forbes.com released their 400 Richest Americans list I checked my rankings and Forbes.com was now at #1 and took up two spaces on the results page.

They had been at # 2 for so long it always made me smile…These very titans of
wealth and business, were out witted by a small business owner in the coal
mountains of Pennsylvania…(I escaped here from Philadelphia, but thats a different story)

Okay so Forbes does not bother doing SEO … the terms not very competitive and
Forbes could care less if they rank there or not, and have no idea I exist ….in my mind it still made me happy with my thoughts, and it offers incentive to push harder everyday!

I haven’t had a chance to update the site but I want my # 1 spot back and had to
find a way to get it….

While I was going through this untimely SERP drop, I read the BlueHatSEO thread above and as I have posted in the past and was confirmed by another, that if I could get more clicks on my listing in the SERPs that I can get my # 1 position again as Google will feel people find my site more relevant.

Now how am I supposed to get others to think a .info site is better for them than
Forbes? especially when on the subject of being rich??

I decided to use a couple of different ideas, one from my craigslist adventures a
couple of years ago involving making my ads standout again, and a bit of the old
call to action and BlueHatSEOs hack of his title.

Here is my original listing. This was also a test to see if I would lose position
which still could happen, anything is possible with Google..even time travel it seems

old title tag

=====================================================

As you can see I redid the title tag on my home page to include a set of keyboard
eyes @|@ some arrows –>> and a very strong call to action at the end of the
title.

Here is the revamped title and cached by Google.

Besure to note the link counts circled in yellow.

new title tag

==========================================================

It will be interesting to see what happens here….will people be inclined to click or will the addition of characters into the title tag cause Google to drop the listing further??

Time will tell.

Another interesting item to note is the link counts according to Yahoo..
Forbes has 3,000,000+ my site has 600+

Yeah, links matter….lol… remember quality over quanity!!!

Well I hope you like this and would like to see others use it in more competitive
terms as I will as well, given client & partner willingness to be as insane….

Results to come so stay tuned!!

Advanced Google Hack -Google Adwords Ad Mastery

Bloged in Search Marketing, Pay Per Click, Google, Adsense by semadvance Monday June 11, 2007

Google Adwords Ad Mastery

I had read of someone who wanted to increase their organic serp results by using
special characters in their title tag. Being of the mind that an unusual title
would attract more clicks and help boost ones ranking in the natural results.

So I was thinking about a way to make my ads stand out from the competition in
the pay per click campaigns, and thought to take a bit of the idea above and
apply it to my campaigns.

I knew Google and others will not allow me to use special English characters in my ad and thought perhaps the bots would not be able to read non-English characters.

So what I have decided to do was use non English characters in my ads.

I have placed the characters within the title tag at the front, at the end, and at
the front and end.

Below are images of the ads and stats.

After which you will find the instructions on how you can implement this feature in your ads.

From the small testing I have done there have been mixed results. I do not see the ads hurting my campaigns and in some instances the ads were the true conversion winners.

Warning: This may not be acceptable to Google Google Adwords and may result in having your ads not displayed or placed on hold.

adwords killer ads

Ok so to make the special characters you need to simply use the following methods:

Use notepad or wordpad or any plain text editor and use the instructions noted
below. Please note there are written instructions below the example characters below.
This list is organized by Accent type. The sample shows a letter with that accent, and the Notes present any special comments about using that accent.
For the Template, the symbol “V” means any vowel.
ACCENT SAMPLE TEMPLATE NOTES
Acute ó Ó Control+’, V ‘ = apostrophe key
Circumflex ô Ô Shift+Control+^, V
Grave ò Ò Control+`, V
Tilde ñ Ñ Shift+Control+~, V Only works with “n,N,o,O,a,A”
Umlaut ö Ö Shift+Control+:, V := colon key
Example 1: To type the letter ó, hold down the Control key, then press the apostrophe key. Release both keys and type o. The accented letter should appear.
Example 2: To type the letter Ó, hold down the Control key, then press the apostrophe key. Release both keys and type O. The accented letter should appear.
Example 3: To type ñ, hold down the Shift key, then the Control key, then the ~ key. Release all three keys, then type n.

Other Foreign Characters
This list is current for Word 2000. Some foreign characters may not have codes in

earlier versions of Word.
SYMBOL NAME CODE NOTES
¡ Upside-down exclamation point Alt+Shift+Control+! Either Alt key

works.
¿ Upside-down question mark Alt+Shift+Control+? Either Alt key

works.

So that is how you make the characters. They will show up on your notepad or
other text editor.

Save those in a file so you will remember them.

Now go to Adwords open your PPC account manager and copy and paste the special
characters into your Adwords Ads and save.

That is the killer you need!!!!!

Again this may or may not be legit but whether it is or not the worst that will
happen is the Ads will be disapproved.

This will take time to happen and in the mean time you have a competitive edge!!!
You got it here first!

Remember the MediaViper always says:

“Bite the competition, before they bite you!”

Google Adsense Releasing Top Query Stats To Publishers

It appears Google is allow Adsense publishers to see the keywords that users input into the Google Search Bar on publishers websites.

I had incorrectly posted this would show publishers which terms were used to find their soites.

When you click log in if you scroll to the bottom of the overview page under the quick rerports section under Adsense for search reports you will see the Top Queries CSV link.

Adsense Top Queries Link

Once you click on the link it taks you to a page that looks similar to the current Advanced Reports Tab with a new radio button added under the Aggregate Or Channel Selection Buttons.

Adsense Top Queries Link

Your search — top query stats — did not match any answers in the AdSense Help Center. Please edit your search terms and try again.

If there are no searches on your website then this is the message that will be generated.

Google Penalizing Publishers Using Multi Ad Serving???

Bloged in Uncategorized by semadvance Saturday June 2, 2007

Google may be penalizing Adsense Publishers who are serving competing Ads on their websites.

I read in a forum post today over at Digital Point that an Adsense Publisher has seen reduced eCPM from Adsense since they recently installed Auction Ads from shoemoney

Further investigation is now underway.

If this turns out to have substance there could be a huge potential backlash against Google.

I’ll write shoemoney and see what he knows.
